Martin Family Legacy Garden Artist Call
Artist Call
Parks Foundation is inviting proposals from a professional artist or artist team to create a site‑responsive, three‑dimensional public artwork for the Martin Family Legacy Garden, Calgary’s dementia‑inclusive park. Two‑dimensional or wall‑based artworks, including murals, are not eligible for this commission.

The artwork should help shape a welcoming environment that:
• Supports calm engagement and comfort
• Encourages recognition, familiarity, and orientation
• Reduces stigma and fosters dignity and connection
• Enhances the experience of the park for people living with dementia, care partners, and the broader community

Application Deadline: April 24, 2026 @ 4pm MST

Greater Forest Lawn 55+ Society (GFLS) is conducting this survey to understand the needs of mature adults in east Calgary.

The GFLS is an activity centre that provides events, programs, and services to enhance the quality of life of mature adults who are aged 55+ and their families.
It is a community-based not-for-profit organization.
The survey should take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
Select a (☑ or ◉) for most questions or type in your comments.
You can use Google Translate above to participate in other languages.
All information that you provide in the survey will be kept strictly confidential.
Survey participants can enter a draw to win a $100 gift card (or e-transfer) or one of two 1 year honorary GFLS memberships.
You must live in Calgary, AB to win.
