NOTE: The [proposed] Small Town Short Film Festival will be pushed back to the fall of 2026. Any completed films (5 min. or less) should be submitted to a participating library (Renfrew, Arnprior, Greater Madawaska.) If interested in making a joint submission with other Greater Madawaska library patrons for September, submit a short clip of a favourite summer activity or experience in the Greater Madawaska region and then the library will string them together for a GM montage. Most phone videos are MP4, which will work. You can submit to [email protected]. Include with your submission your name and location/ description of the clip. :)

GMPLLC is looking to hire a staff member to support ongoing adult and children's programming. The successful candidate must be able to commit to Thursday mornings (9am - 1pm) and one Saturday per month (9am-2pm). You must be computer literate, social media savvy, friendly, creative, reliable, and enjoy working with children and adults. Previous library experience is an asset. We welcome all ages. GMPLLC will be hosting a July New-to-You clothing fundraiser again this summer. When you are reviewing your seasonal wardrobe and/or clearing your closet, please keep us in mind for clothing donations. Donations must be clean and in good condition (possibly to be worn by your friends, family, neighbours, and visitors to the area!). All funds raised go to support library operations. We welcome submissions from community groups, individuals, businesses, and families. Tell a story, explore an idea, show what you do or make an animation just for fun.
