We proudly marked Philippine Independence Day with an official flag‑raising ceremony at City Hall today, June 12. Mayor David Tordjman delivered remarks alongside Al Abdon of the Filipino Heritage Society. Remarks were also delivered by Member of Parliament Anthony Housefather, Jonah Samuel Presser, Chief of Staff to Member of the National Assembly Elisabeth Prass, Luzviminda Mazzone of the Federation of Filipino Associations of Quebec, Ramon Vicente of the Filipino Family Services of Montreal, and Sir Gerry Danzil of the Knights of Rizal. Thank you to everyone who took part in this meaningful celebration of Filipino heritage and community.

Certain home renovation projects, like installing a pool, new windows, indoor renovations and more require a permit issued by the City.
Waiting until the last minute to apply for a permit can cause unnecessary delays that can hold up your project. Waiting until the last minute to apply for permits leads to a backlog of applications and longer wait times.
