KFN CITIZENS: COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED

1. Constitution Committee
The Constitution Committee is seeking one member and one alternate. The committee is entering its fifth year of the policy review process, which includes reviewing provisions, conducting research and drafting proposed constitutional amendments. The committee is expected to bring Constitutional Amendment Resolutions to the 2027 General Assembly.
Successful applicants will fill the remainder of the current term, expiring November 18, 2027.
**Deadline:** Open until filled.

2. Citizenship Committee

The Citizenship Committee is seeking five members.
Pursuant to Article 8.2 of the KFN Citizenship Code, the committee is composed of three Citizens and two Elders. The committee reviews Citizenship Applications and makes recommendations to KFN Council. Additional work during the upcoming term will include supporting a review of the Citizenship Code, for which a legal opinion has already been provided. Successful applicants will be appointed in November 2026 for a term expiring in November 2029.
**Deadline:** November 9, 2026.

3.Elections Committee
The Elections Committee is seeking one member.
Following the recent by-election, the committee will focus on reviewing the Chief Returning Officers' reports from previous elections, developing the *“So, You Want to Run for Council?”* information guide, which is already in draft form, and reviewing recommendations arising from the Election Act legal review completed in June 2026. The successful applicant will fill the remainder of the current term, expiring April 16, 2028.
**Deadline:** Open until filled.

4. Community Consultative Group (CCG)
The Community Consultative Group is seeking one member. The CCG provides governance, oversight and support for the Community Tripartite Agreement between KFN, the RCMP and the Government of Yukon. The group helps ensure policing services reflect Kluane First Nation priorities and values while supporting initiatives that enhance community safety and security. The successful applicant will fill the remainder of the current term, expiring August 28, 2027.
**Deadline:** Open until filled.
