As this is a time of year for giving back $5 from every ticket will be donated to Halton Women’s Place for their Holiday Donor Program. We also invite you to bring a donation for the Burlington Food Bank. We’ll have a box at the door.

Join Karina Gould tomorrow at the Art Gallery of Burlington for her Seniors' Symposium. This popular event is back for its second year – it's free to attend and features a keynote speaker, panels and more.

My 2nd annual Seniors’ Symposium is coming up this Thursday, July 5th! Head to the Art Gallery of Burlington from 1:30 – 4:00pm. The day will include a keynote speech from Dr. Raina, from the McMaster Institute for Aging, speakers’ panels and a resource gallery. See you on Thursday!

Join us in congratulating Karina and her family!

Welcome to the world, Oliver! My husband, Alberto, and I were thrilled to finally meet our son earlier this week. We are grateful to be able to say that everyone is happy and healthy.

I would like to extend a special thank you to the Burlington & Area Midwives – particularly the amazing Lucia, Sarah, Diane and Paige – and the nursing staff at Joseph Brant Hospital for their care and support during my pregnancy and delivery.

I will be spending time with my family now, but I look forward to returning to work when I am ready to resume my duties as Canada’s Minister of Democratic Institutions. The Democratic Institutions portfolio will be in the good hands of Minister Scott Brison, assisted by Parliamentary Secretary Andy Fillmore, while I am on leave. Burlington constituents should continue to contact my MP office for any assistance or services they require.

As we join so many other Canadian parents who juggle the responsibilities of career and family, Alberto and I want to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
