Located in Ontario Canada, we are a two hour drive north of Toronto. Armour Township is a "single-tier" municipality located on the Canadian Shield in southeast Parry Sound District just north of Huntsville, Muskoka. There are numerous recreational lakes in Armour, the largest of which are Little Doe Lake, Three Mile Lake and Pickerel Lake. The North and South Magnetawan Rivers are major natural f

eatures which also contribute to the recreational and rural character of the municipality. They flow out of their headwaters into Algonquin Park to the east and eventually meet in Armour within the Village of Burk's Falls, from which point the river is navigable for over 40 kilometres. If there are any issues or suggestions that you would like to see raised or dis-cussed with Council, please contact the office to have your concerns placed on the agenda. Council welcomes your attendance at our regular meetings held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:00 pm. Agendas and minutes may be viewed on our web-site.

NOW HIRING – PART-TIME EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Township of Armour is currently seeking a Casual Part-Time Equipment Operator to join our Roads Department team.

This position provides approximately 400 hours of work annually on an as-needed (on-call) basis and offers a competitive wage ranging from $28.86 to $35.50 per hour (2026 rate).

Responsibilities include:
✔ Snow plowing and winter maintenance
✔ Operating heavy equipment including loaders, backhoes, and trucks
✔ Assisting with road maintenance and other public works duties as required

A Music Workshop is coming to our library! 🎶🎵🎼
Join us on Thursday, July 16 during our Booktivities program. This special event will run from 10:30-12:00pm and be led by Sarah Lovering-Stallard. We will read a musical story, make instruments, and play some music! ❤
