Every year we say it, but honestly, this truly is the little community that just comes out in spades. A great spring rain last night made for an easy morning, with so many coming to enjoy a good breakfast without the pressure of having to run off to the "next project". The community was a buzz this morning! 1,160 served! Your continued support helps us invest thousands of dollars each year in training and equipment upgrades. A special shout-out to MutualONE insurance and Julie Campbell, Shannon Craig and Kim Parker, who spent the morning with us and sponsored several surprised guests with a complimentary breakfast. Of course, a project like this never happens without all our many sponsors. A community giving back to a community,... what's better than that!

Our sister station in Hensall is doing their breakfast tomorrow, take your appetite for a good feed. See you next week at ours!

Our Hensall Firefighters will be serving up breakfast at the annual Firefighters' Breakfast on May 30th. The cost is $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Pay at the door.

Congratulations to our brother firefighters from the Bayfield and Zurich stations who were recognized for their long service to the community at last nights council meeting.

Last night, Bluewater Council recognized several Bluewater firefighters for their long service. We extend our thanks to our volunteer firefighters and their families for their service to our communities and their efforts to keep us safe, to educate, and to support in times of need.
