Members spent many hours this afternoon as a mutual aid response to Truro on scene of a woods fire near Millbrook First Nation. A reminder of how dry things are despite the green that you might see!

Five of our members recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Iceland, where they had the opportunity to visit a couple of volunteer fire stations as well as a paid station, Slökkvilið höfuðborgarsvæðisins. They toured the station, traded patches and shirts, and learned about fire service operations in Iceland! 🚒🇨🇦🇮🇸

May 3rd to 9th is Emergency Preparedness Week. The Colchester Regional Emergency Management Organization encourages residents to know the risks in their area and be prepared by creating an emergency kit that will help get you through the first 72 hours of an emergency or disaster.

Although at times it may look like nothing is happening, our volunteers are busy behind the scenes with many many meetings on the next steps to making the new Hilden firehall a reality.

A few weeks ago you may have seen some activity on site as our geotechnical assessment was completed. And this week our well is being put in!! These steps are thanks to your generosity and support buying Nova Scotia Firefighters 50-50 tickets.
