Girls at Bat is Back!

We’re stepping up to the plate again this fall! After an amazing first year, Girls at Bat is back for another season! 🎉 We’re teaming up with the Jays Care Foundation again to bring this 8-week program to girls ages 9-12 for another season of learning, playing, and building confidence through baseball.

Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm, starting September 16 | MERC Hall, Maitland

🏃 WESTMINSTER MARATHON CLUB Starts this week 🏅
Moving, Growing, Achieving Together!

🌟 What is the Marathon Club?

Students run or walk during recess and work toward completing a full marathon distance of 42.2 km over several weeks.

📏 How Does It Work?

✅ 1 lap ≈ 500 m
✅ 2 laps = 1 km
✅ 84 laps = 42.2 km (a full marathon!)

💪 Why Participate?

🏃 Be active and healthy
😊 Have fun with friends
🎯 Set personal goals
🌟 Build perseverance and confidence
🏅 Celebrate achievements along the way!

🎉 Milestone Rewards

🔗 10 laps (5 km) → Chain

🚶 20 laps (10 km) → Walker Token

👍 30 laps (15 km) → Thumbs-Up Token

👟 40 laps (20 km) → Sneaker Token

🦶 50 laps (25 km) → Toe Token

🏃 60 laps (30 km) → Runner Token

💧 70 laps (35 km) → Sweat Bead Token

⭐ 80 laps (40 km) → #40 Token

🏅 84 laps (42.2 km) → MARATHON MEDAL!

A marathon is 42.2 km, the same distance that Terry Fox ran each day during the Marathon of Hope.
