Please be advised of the upcoming lane closures on County Road 43 between Rideau River Road (CR19) and the Colonnade roundabouts. Starting at 4:00PM on Monday, September 14th until 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 15th. The closure is necessary to complete paving of both the westbound and eastbound lanes. A signed traffic detour plan will be implemented to redirect eastbound traffic.

The Leeds and Grenville Accessibility Advisory Committee is inviting residents, community organizations, businesses, municipal staff, and accessibility advocates to attend a free seminar focused on creating more inclusive and accessible communities.

The seminar will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, 285 County Road 44, Kemptville.

Participants will hear diverse perspectives and personal experiences from individuals who navigate accessibility barriers daily, while gaining practical tools and strategies to help make workplaces, services, and communities more inclusive for everyone.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville reminds residents of the following closures at administrative buildings for the upcoming Labour Day weekend.

• Counties Administration Offices – Administration offices will be closed to the public on Monday, September 7.

• Ontario Works – Ontario Works offices will be closed to the public on Monday, September 7.

• EarlyON Child and Family Centres – EarlyON Child and Family Centres will be closed on Monday, September 7.

All buildings will re-open Tuesday, September 8, at 8:00 a.m. Documents can be left in the drop box at our Administration building located at 25 Central Ave W, in Brockville, ON.

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, Wagar & Corput W**d Control Inc., and the Invasive Phragmites Control Centre intend to control invasive Phragmites (Phragmites australis ssp. australis) within the following Leeds Grenville municipalities: Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, Town of Gananoque, Township of Front of Yonge, Township of Athens, and Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley.

The Contractor will be using pesticides registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) for terrestrial applications.

This work will commence on September 14, 2026 (weather permitting) and conclude on September 30, 2026.
