St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership

St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership A regional collaborative to attract, welcome and involve newcomers to Canada in our communities. Visi Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership in early 2009.

With a focus on enhancing the capacity of the communities in Leeds & Grenville, Ontario to attract, welcome, and involve newcomers to Canada in our communities, a diverse group of stakeholders came together to form the St. The partnership is a community collaborative that brings together the efforts of individuals, organizations, businesses, and government offices, working to attract newcomers to

Canada to the region and to assist them in living comfortably and become increasingly involved members of our communities. With leadership from the United Way Leeds & Grenville and the City of Brockville Economic Development Office, participation has come from hundreds of stakeholders from across all of the 13 municipalities in the region. Through coordinated efforts to develop and carry out planned strategies for newcomer attraction and retention in the region, the partnership will help to ensure that Leeds & Grenville has the population base necessary for long-term economic, social and cultural vitality.
