Twenty-five years later, we remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

We honour the 343 firefighters and all first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call.

We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the lives forever changed that day.

We remember.
We honour.
We will never forget.

BACK TO SCHOOL - LET'S LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER!

As students head back to school, our roads and neighbourhoods get busier with school buses, children walking, cyclists and families on the move.

DRIVERS: Stop for school buses when the red lights are flashing and slow down in school zones.

EVERYONE: Stay alert and watch carefully when children are crossing streets and around bus stops.

BE PATIENT. A few extra seconds can make all the difference.

Let's work together to keep our students safe as they head back to school.

Heading to college or university? Don't forget fire safety!

Whether you're moving into residence, renting with friends, or living on your own for the first time, a few simple habits can help keep you safe:

• Test your smoke and CO alarms.
• Know two ways out of your building.
• Never leave cooking unattended.
• Avoid overloading outlets or power bars.
• Keep your phone charged and know how to call 9-1-1.
• Never disable or cover a smoke or CO alarm.

Take a few minutes to get prepared before the semester gets busy.

We loved having your preschoolers visit us at Station 2! It was wonderful to see how excited and engaged they were while learning about fire safety, our firefighters and what we do in the community.

A special thank you to the staff at St. John Bosch Children’s Centre for bringing the kids in and helping make it such a great morning. We hope to see you all again soon.

Touch-a-Truck is this Friday!

We're excited to be part of this great community event! Come check out the trucks, meet the people behind them, and enjoy a fun day for the whole family.

The countdown is on!
We are just ONE WEEK away from an incredible day of big trucks, heavy equipment, community partners, family fun, and hands-on exploration inside all sorts or makes and models!

📢 A few important reminders before you arrive:

🕙 Doors open at 10:00 A.M. sharp!
Before then, all of the trucks, equipment, exhibitors, and volunteers will be busy getting everything into place and ready for your visit. Please plan your arrival accordingly.

🌭 BBQ on Site!
A big thank you to the United Way, who has generously offered to run the BBQ again this year. Food and drinks will be available throughout the event and all donations are appreciated!

☀️ Be Prepared for the Weather as Touch-a-Truck has often been a super hot day, so don't forget: ✅ Sunscreen, ✅ Hats, ✅ Water bottles etc. to stay cool and comfortable

🩹 First Aid Station will be located at the Main Gate/ EarlyON booth and the added bonus is we usually have a Community Paramedic on site in case something really big needs addressing (let's hope not!).

🎧 Noise-Cancelling Headphones Available- as with the last few years, instead of a designated quiet time, families can sign out noise-cancelling headphones at the Entrance Tent to help make the event enjoyable for anyone not into sirens.

🚗 Additional Parking Available
Extra overflow parking will be available at the Memorial Centre.

🚜🚒🚓 Get ready to climb aboard, honk some horns, meet the people behind the vehicles, and enjoy a fantastic day with family and friends. We can't wait to welcome everyone for another amazing Touch-a-Truck event!

Belles & Ladders 2026 🫶💪👩‍🚒

Day 3 started off on a high note, in the bucket! The girls learned forcible entry, ladder skills, played games, and of course the big fire fit relay!

We are so proud of the girls, not just for the skills gained, but the friendships they made and the confidence they built.

We can’t wait to see what they do next 🤩
