With the start of the school year, we want to remind drivers in the South Shore region to be mindful of school buses bringing students to and from school. Help keep our students safe: do not pass schools buses with stop arms out and red lights flashing. Passing these school buses is dangerous, and it's against the law.

Due to the ongoing incident involving Dares Lake dam, Bluenose Academy will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, September 4 at the request of the Town of Lunenburg. SSRCE is monitoring the issue and communicating with the town. We will provide an update tomorrow morning at 6:00am in the event of any changes.

SSRCE’s bus drivers have been hard at work getting ready to greet our students on the first day of school. A big thank you to our drivers for their dedication to our students -- we’re excited for the start of the year and we appreciate everything you do!
