📢 Public hearing set for proposed Osprey Village planning amendments

Council has scheduled a public hearing for October 13, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. regarding proposed amendments to the Osprey Village Secondary Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law for municipally owned land identified as PID 60631009.

The proposed amendments would redesignate and rezone portions of the property to General Commercial and Open Space and allow development using on-site services.

Residents will have an opportunity to share their comments before Council considers a final decision.

🌊🛶 Calling all paddlers!

The Pijinuiskaq Parade of Paddlers is hitting the water Sunday, September 20!

Launch from Shipyards Landing and paddle through the heart of Bridgewater, under the bridges and along the LaHave River/Pijinuiskaq. Return and continue on to Miller Point Peace Park!

🚣 2 km parade route
🌊 Optional 6 km extended paddle to Miller Point
🍔 FREE BBQ lunch courtesy of the District of Lunenburg & Dayspring & District Fire Dept
🎶 Live music at Miller Point Peace Park - Paul Buchanan
👀 Great views for spectators along the river!
