Join us for a special Seniors’ Week celebration of memories, conversation, and community at our Memory Lane Café hosted by the Breton Municipal Library in partnership with the Breton & District Historical Museum.

Enjoy coffee and treats from Farmhouse Grind, along with local history displays, photo sharing, and storytelling as we take a walk down memory lane together.

Whether you’ve lived in Breton for decades or are new to the community, everyone is welcome to come connect, reminisce, and celebrate the stories that make our town special during Seniors’ Week.

We invite community members to bring along old photographs, keepsakes, memorabilia, yearbooks, newspaper clippings, and favourite Breton memories to share. If you are able to bring items to the library before the event for display setup, it would be greatly appreciated!

Summer Program Assistant- Breton Municipal Library

Do you love working with kids, getting creative, and helping make summer magical?
The Breton Municipal Library is looking for a fun, reliable, and enthusiastic Summer Program Assistant to help with this year’s Summer Reading Program: Breton Library School of Magic- The Tri Read Tournament. This assistant position will support the Primary Summer Worker during weekly children’s programming and activities throughout the summer.

Position Details:
Dates: July 6 – August 24
Schedule: Mondays from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Youth applicants are encouraged to apply
Adults willing to work with children will also be considered

Responsibilities:
• Assist with children’s summer programming and activities
• Help with crafts, games, and occasional outdoor activities
• Support program setup and cleanup
• Help create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for children and families
• Work alongside library staff and the primary summer worker as part of a team

Qualifications:
• Loves working with children
• Is dependable and reliable
• Is creative, positive, and patient
• Works well with others
• Is willing to participate in crafts, games, and interactive activities

Requirements:
Applicants 18 years and older will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search prior to employment.

Spring is here it looks like! A perfect time to sit in the sunshine with a cup of coffee or tea and read a great book focused on nature and outdoors. I have selected some popular titles and also a few of my favorites that go with this month's theme. Our front book display will be ready today with some titles or if you want a title ordered just let one of us know at the desk.
