1. Continuing the Action Plan to Resolve West Brant's Traffic Issues & Encourage a Viable Long Term Solution

-Current discussions:
Create small municipal parking lots and removing on street parking on Brant Ave
Look at the probability of a Dalhousie St Bridge to Sherwood
Continue to investigate a Shellard Lane extension to Rest Acres Rd
Develop a timeline for the Conklin Rd extension to County Rd 18

2. Encourage 35-65 Commercial to Residential Zoning Ratio to create Property Tax Relief

-Continue to rezone vacate lands as commercial, as was done with the former Maple Leaf site, and continue to market Brantford for commercial development

3. Continue conducting Efficiency Audits to Improve Municipal Services

-Line by line validation of funds spent, where it was spent, was it fair value, look at compounding with other lines for increased savings, finding more cost effective solutions

4. Build upon the Changes that have been Addressing Community Safety Issues

-Continue implementing necessary traffic calming measures, crossing guard deployment, as well as continuing to work with Brantford Police Services to determine the high priority areas that require more police presence and blitzing.

5. Continue to Provide a Proactive Approach to the City’s Desperate Infrastructure Needs
- prioritizing the most critical needs, expedite work commencement. Research opportunities for the city to generate additional revenues, to start other infrastructure needs ahead of schedule.

6. Continuing with the Improvements to the City’s Municipal Transit Services

-In the last 4 years, Brantford Transit went from losing money to generating revenue. Continue to invest and reinvest those revenues to provide more Improvements to routes, travel times, and to ultimately increase ridership.

7. Continuing to Assist the Homelessness Resolution Plan

- Looking for more opportunities like the Fox Ridge, to open additional care facilities for the Homeless. To continue the umbrella program to assist the homeless under 1 entity. Bringing the homeless to a central location where food, shelter, resources and substance support is present.

8. Encourage the Development of Local Amenities, such as the new Commercially zoned Maple Leaf site, and the Construction of a Public High School

- continue to market West Brant as a place for Commercial business. Working with developers to include commercial development in their planning applications.
-The West Brant public high school is already in motion. As the ward Councillor I will continue to work with the School Board to see that the Public High School becomes a reality.

8. Continue Developing more Improvements to Seniors and Disability Programs & Services
-Free Transit is already being evaluated by staff. Where pilot/trial services have been offered. To determine if it feasible, whether Time of day, or peak hour relief is possible. Looking at snow removal services and potential benefits for other certain services that might be required.

9. Encourage and Assist in Addressing the City’s Opioid Crisis

-Continue to lobby the province for a Detox Centre in Brantford. As well as Lobbying the province to redefine the term Pharmacy, so that it doesn't include single drug dispensaries like Methadone clinics, which are currently under Provincial Legislation. This would grant the city the ability to relocate them, away from Residential homes and Commercial businesses. Currently there are 6 clinics within a 10 block radius of downtown.
