The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery (RCA) has been part of the fabric of Canadian history since the earliest days of our nation. Since Confederation, the Gunners of Canada have served bravely in all of our national conflicts and have played a full role in establishing the fine reputation for peacekeeping that Canada holds today. The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery has two mottos: “Ubique

” (Everywhere) and “Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt” (Whither Right and Glory Lead). The first motto “Ubique” takes the place of all battle honours in recognition of the artillery’s service in all battles and campaigns. Many of the units and batteries of The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery are older than Canada itself, and the history of artillery in Canada is older yet. The first company of artillery to be formed in Canada was organized in Quebec in 1750. Today, The Regiment is formed from two important components: the Regular Force and the Reserve Force. Both components providing personnel for both International and Domestic Operations. The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery, proudly standing on guard for Canada. Le Régiment royal de l’Artillerie canadienne (ARC) fait partie de la toile du Canada depuis le début de notre nation. Dès le début de la Confédération, les artilleurs du Canada ont servi bravement dans tous les conflits nationaux et ont joué un rôle de premier plan en établissant une excellente réputation de maintien de la paix dont le Canada jouit aujourd’hui. Plus de 130,000 Canadiens ont servi comme artilleurs dans les deux guerres mondiales. Le Régiment royal de l’Artillerie canadienne a deux devises : « Ubique » (Partout) et « Quo Fas et Gloria Ducunt » (où la gloire et la droiture conduit). La première compagnie d’artillerie formée au Canada a été mise sur pied à Québec en 1750. Aujourd’hui, le Régiment est composé de deux éléments importants: la force régulière et la milice. Les deux composantes fournissent le personnel pour les opérations internationales et domestiques. Le Régiment royal de l’Artillerie canadienne, sert et protège fièrement le Canada.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Captain General, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty passed today, 8 September 2022, at Balmoral Castle after completing a reign of over 70 years and recently celebrating her Platinum Jubilee. The RCA is deeply appreciative of the long standing relationship we have maintained with our Captain General throughout her glorious reign. CONPLAN BRIDGE details will be forthcoming as received to those units/Gunners who will require them.

C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de notre capitaine général, Sa Majesté la reine Elizabeth II. Sa Majesté s'est éteinte aujourd'hui, le 8 septembre 2022, au château de Balmoral après un règne de plus de 70 ans et après avoir récemment célébré son jubilé de platine. L'ARC est profondément reconnaissante de la relation de longue date que nous avons entretenue avec notre capitaine général tout au long de son glorieux règne.
