If you're familiar with Huskies, you'll feel right at home with Jordan. This handsome boy is a classic Husky through and through—independent, expressive and full of personality!

Jordan prefers admiration over excessive handling and would much rather be appreciated for the majestic dog he is than be fussed over constantly.

While he enjoys companionship and being near his people, he's happiest when his boundaries are respected. One thing Jordan absolutely loves? A good brushing session! Bring out the brush, and you'll quickly become one of his favourite people. It's the perfect way to bond with this fluffy gentleman while helping him keep his gorgeous coat looking its best.

When Jordan gets excited, his joy is impossible to miss. He'll burst into a case of the zoomies, racing around with a huge smile and boundless enthusiasm. Watching him celebrate life's happy moments is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Meet Ginger: proof that orange cats are powered by snacks and confidence.

At 8 years young, Ginger is a distinguished lady with a generous figure and absolutely no regrets about her life choices. She firmly believes that every meal should be followed by a nap, and every nap should be followed by another nap. While she has been working on her fitness journey, Ginger remains delightfully chubby and proudly wears her curves like a queen.

Ginger is currently on a special diet and should remain on her prescribed food unless her new veterinarian recommends otherwise. She may not appreciate this arrangement, but she tolerates it with the grace of a cat plotting revenge.

Ginger is looking for a home where she can be cherished for the wonderful cat she is: sweet, funny, charming, and impossible not to love. If you're searching for a laid-back companion who will fill your home with warmth and personality, Ginger may be your perfect match.

We are delighted to share a heartwarming story about a recent donation that brought joy and mobility to a beloved pet. At our shelter, we received a doggy wheelchair that, unfortunately, we couldn't use. However, we knew it could make a world of difference for someone else.

We reached out to the wonderful staff at Blue Springs Animal Rehabilitation Center hoping they might have a client who could benefit from it. Our staff delivered the wheelchair, and it found its way to a sweet dog named Romero.

Romero, who has since passed, was able to enjoy his final days with newfound mobility, going for walks with his dad.

The story doesn't end there—Romero's wheelchair will continue to be passed along to other pets in need. We're thrilled to have been a part of this chain of kindness and to have lent a hand, or rather, a wheel! 🐾❤️

Small Animal Saturday: Meep

Meet Meep! Aptly named after their favourite noise to make.

Meep was found alone outside by a resident of Brampton, but this little finch cannot continue in solitude. Finches are social creatures that flourish in flocks. Therefore, Meep will need to be adopted into a home with another finch already present, or the adopter must actively seek out additional finches.

Finches generally prefer the company of other finches over human handling, making them wonderful pets to watch and enjoy as part of a lively aviary or flock setup.

Here’s hoping Meep can have a friend or two to “meep” back and forth with very soon!

Forever Home Friday: Quincey

"My family and I adopted a sweet pup from BAS back at the end of August 2025. We adopted the adorable American Bulldog Quincey. We are happy to say she is doing very well. She's finally learned about couch naps, that the kitchen is her favourite part of the house and keeps the yard squirrel free as best as she can.

She settled in almost immediately, I guess she didn't hear about the 3-3-3 rule. She's been an absolute angel since day one. She just recently graduated from her basic obedience class and had a blast while attending and learning.

But my family and I would like to thank you all at BAS for the outstanding work you do."

Tail Wagging Thursday: Noodle

Hello, future family! It's me, Noodle, the adorable bundle of energy that you've been searching for. I've been waiting for almost three months to find the perfect active home, and maybe that's you!

I'm a dynamic pup with a zest for life that rivals a cup of strong espresso. Some might describe me as "a lot," others might simply say "wow," but I promise you'll never be bored with me around. I'm not just a dog, I'm an experience—a whirlwind of joy wrapped in an irresistibly cute package.

I come with an abundance of energy and an eagerness to explore the world. My manners are still under construction, but my heart is in the right place. Sitting and staying might not be my strong suits yet, but I'm excellent at sprinting around with uncontainable glee. With the right guidance, patience and a pocketful of treats, I'll learn the ropes in no time.

I'm on the hunt for a home that matches my energy levels. Daily walks, hiking adventures and plenty of playtime are essential to keep me happy and healthy. If you're an active person looking for a partner in crime, we might just be the perfect match!

I get along well with other dogs; it’s a fantastic way for me to burn off energy. I would thrive in a home with another active, playful dog or enjoy playdates with friendly pups. However, I have yet to meet cats or children.

If you're after a serene, laid-back pet, I might not be your best bet. But if you crave laughter, excitement, and a dog who will keep you on your toes, I'm the girl for you. Just make sure you're ready for a life full of joy, love and a lot of running around.

Bhava and Mooney, our delightful bonded pair of brothers are soaking up the sun in one of their favourite spots—the catio! These charming felines have been with us since February.

The catio provides them with a space to enjoy the great outdoors while staying safe. They both enjoy playing with toys and occasionally engage in playful wrestling matches, just like typical brothers!
