Learn. Ask Questions. Be Coyote Aware.

Brampton Animal Services’ Wildlife Response Team is hosting community information sessions to help residents better understand urban coyotes and learn practical ways to safely coexist with them.

Residents will learn about coyote behaviour, what to do if they encounter a coyote and how to reduce attractants in their neighbourhoods.

Following each presentation, members of the Wildlife Response Team will be available to answer questions, address concerns and provide resources on living safely with coyotes in our community.

Join us at a community session:

🐾 Don't miss out on our month-long Microchip Clinic! For the month of September, we are offering microchipping Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 pm to 4 pm. This clinic is exclusively for Brampton residents and operates by appointment only. For just $30, ensure your beloved pet gets a permanent ID for added peace of mind.

Did you know that having your dog or cat fixed and microchipped can also lead to lower licence fees? Remember, all dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes) and cats need to be in carriers for their safety.

Small Animal Saturday: Bog & Bayou

Bog & Bayou – two young boys who tend to be quite shy when meeting new people and trying new things. Thanks to the support of our volunteers, they have slowly but surely been getting more comfortable and confident as each day passes.

With a little bit of patience and some hand fed veggies, we will continue to work with the brothers to show them that human hands bring good things. Once they learn that spoiled rotten guinea pig life is actually a lot of fun, they will be wheeking and popcorning in no time!

At just six months old, Bog & Bayou are still very young and have plenty of time to build their confidence and form a close bond with their new family. If you can offer Bog & Bayou a fulfilling and enriched life, they would be thrilled to meet you!

Forever Home Friday: Attie

"Just wanted to give you an update on Attie, the guinea pig we adopted in January 2025.

She's doing amazing, she almost instantly bonded with the other guinea pig that we wanted her to keep company as she lost her sister and was depressed.

They're absolute besties! Attie loves cuddles."

Share your adoption story by emailing photos and an update to

Tail Wagging Thursday: Roger

Hi, I’m Roger! You can call me Rog for short.

I'm the type of guy who believes the best friendships are worth taking a little time to build. I might not throw myself into your arms the second we meet, but don’t take it personally, I just like to make sure you’re worthy of joining my inner circle. I have standards, okay? Luckily, there is one very effective way to speed up the application process: FOOD.

Because I can be a little unsure when things get busy or overwhelming, I’m looking for a home without young humans. I prefer my environment a little more predictable and my humans a little more experienced. Someone who understands that trust doesn’t happen overnight would be perfect for me. I need a person who’s willing to let me come out of my shell without rushing me...bonus points if your pockets are suspiciously full of treats.

And listen… I’m a gentleman who likes to be properly courted. I’ll need multiple meet & greets before heading home with you. Think of it as dating. We’ll hang out, have some snacks, get to know each and see where this thing goes. I’m not moving in after the first date!

Once I decide you’re one of my people, though? It's game over.

Roger That! Snacks Required, Love Guaranteed.

🚨 We are in urgent need of kind-hearted individuals to help care for kittens aged 0-6 weeks. Due to a recent influx, our foster homes are full, and we need your support to provide these little ones with the love and care they deserve. 🚨

Fostering kittens is an incredibly rewarding experience that offers vital support to our furry friends:
šŸ¼ Neonatal Kittens (0-4 weeks): These tiny kittens require round-the-clock care. Your dedication will ensure they grow healthy and strong.
😺 Young Kittens (5-8 weeks): At this stage, kittens are ready to explore and socialize. By fostering, you help shape their personalities and prepare them for adoption.

What We’re Looking For:
šŸ¼ For Neonatal Kittens:
Experience in bottle-feeding kittens is preferred but not required.
Availability for 24/7 care.
A loving and nurturing environment.
😺 For Young Kittens:
A safe and engaging space for exploration and learning.
Patience and kindness to help them socialize and thrive.

By joining our foster team, you’ll give these kittens the chance to grow strong and healthy, preparing them for their forever homes. We provide all necessary supplies to ensure a smooth experience for you and the animals in your care.

Apply today and become a hero for these tiny paws. For more information or to sign up, visit: https://www.brampton.ca/EN/residents/Animal-Services/Pages/Foster.aspx. Open your heart and home to make a significant difference in their lives!
