On Wednesday May 27th, a team of four of our stellar grade 9 math students, Brandon, Tejesh, Tristan, and Ishan were sent to North Park Secondary School to compete in the Ontario Association for Mathematics Education’s CHAMP math contest. They battled 6 other schools in several tasks involving launching a water pressure rocket and getting sponsors to fund their team. Although we successfully secured funding by solving our challenge problems and had a competitive rocket launch, we were not able to win. All in all, the team had a blast, got some cool swag, ate some snacks, and got free pizza. Congratulations Grizzlies we are so proud of you!
