Muskoka Women's Shelters and Services www.mwag.ca Muskoka Women’s Shelters and Services is a charitable non-profit located in Muskoka, Ontario. Chrysalis is located in Huntsville.

Muskoka Women's Shelters and Services operates two 24-hour crisis shelters for abused women & children – Muskoka Interval House in Bracebridge & Chrysalis in Huntsville. It was established in 1984, when the community saw a need to provide support and accommodation for women and their children fleeing from abusive situations. Overseen by the volunteer Board of Directors, the organization operates t

wo sites. It is a 10-bed shelter. This site is also home to ten Transitional Housing Units. Muskoka Interval House is located in Bracebridge. It is a 15-bed shelter and the administrative office for the organization.

October 2-4/26. This empowering retreat is designed to support girls in building self-confidence, strengthening self-worth, and fostering positive relationships. Through engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and supportive mentorship, participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers in a safe and encouraging environment.

Today and tomorrow, we are focusing inward.
We are so proud of our Operations Manager, Sam, who is facilitating specialized training for our front-line staff across both MWSS shelters.
The work we do is often challenging and always high-impact. This training increases our capacity with critical tools in advanced interpersonal communication, and increases everyone’s confidence and effectiveness in daunting situations.

Through guided discussions on empathy, bullying, and personal safety, we help children find their voice again.
