Planned Water Tank Maintenance – Monday, June 1

Please note that the Town of Botwood has scheduled mandatory maintenance work to be completed on the water tank reservoir on Monday, June 1.
Municipal Works crews will begin work on Sunday, May 31, to isolate the tank and lower the water level. Every effort will be made to maintain acceptable pressure levels; however, some residents may notice temporary or intermittent reductions in water pressure between Sunday and Monday.
As with any work that disturbs the water system, there is a possibility of temporary water discolouration. We recognize the inconvenience this may cause, but this maintenance — including tank cleaning — is an important step toward improving overall water quality in the community.
Between Sunday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 3, all residents of Botwood, Peterview, Northern Arm, and Swanee Pool Road are asked to avoid high water usage activities such as filling swimming pools, watering lawns and gardens, and washing vehicles. Reduced water use will also be required into the following week to allow the reservoir sufficient time to refill.
