Our social media accounts focus on celebrating the many great things happening in our schools, and sharing important information with our communities. While NLPS encourages interaction from platform users, we expect individuals making comments to show respect for fellow users and ensure discussion remains civil, especially since stu

dents may be viewing the content and comments. Individual comments or posts that do not follow our commenting guidelines may be hidden or deleted without further notice. To ensure exchanges that are informative, respectful of diverse viewpoints and lawful, we will not allow comments that are or include:
Off topic. Points unrelated to the purpose and subject of the main post. Personal Attacks. Comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame an individual or organization. Complaints, concerns, or confidential information about individual students or employees. Language. Comments including but not limited to: profanity, discriminatory comments, threats, obscenity. Illegal. Laws that govern use of copyright and trade secrets will be followed. Words that constitute a criminal act or solicit others to commit a criminal act. Links to outside websites. Spam. Comments focused on selling a product of service will be hidden. NLPS is not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page. Comments posted also do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of the division. Users participate at their own risk, taking personal responsibility for comments, username and any information they provide.

A huge thank you to Ms. Ademine from Come, Let's Sew for teaching our students the basics of sewing. The kinders worked hard to create their very own pillows- and of course, they had to make sure they were comfy enough by giving them a test run.

We're pretty sure the pillows passed inspection!

🚌 BACK TO SCHOOL BUSING: SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST BY JULY 31!
Planning for the 2026-2027 school year is officially underway! Northern Lights Public Schools is now accepting transportation requests. To guarantee your child has a seat reserved for the first day of school (Monday, August 31, 2026), please submit your request by Friday, July 31, 2026.

Submitting on time ensures efficient routing, helps the division map the best paths possible, and prevents frustrating start-of-year busing delays!

Returning Riders: Check your email! A 2026-2027 Transportation Update and Verification Form has been sent to you via School Engage to confirm your seat for next year.

New Riders: If your child is new to NLPS or didn't ride the bus last year, please fill out the 2026-2027 Transportation Request Form in School Engage.

Note: Outstanding transportation fees from previous years must be cleared before new requests can be processed.

đź’° Fees & Payment Information
Good news for family budgeting—all NLPS transportation fees are remaining the same for the 2026-2027 school year!

Fees will be posted to your School Cash Online account in September, with full payment due by February 1, 2027. We recognize that school fees can be a challenge, so flexible installment payment plans are available. Families may also apply for a financial fee waiver through the Transportation Department based on household income guidelines.

⏳ What Happens Next?
Once you hit submit, look for a confirmation email (remember to check your spam folder if you don't see it!). Bus routes will be finalized over the summer, and families will be directly notified of their specific routes, pickup, and drop-off locations between August 24 and 28.

Please note: Late applications received after the July 31 deadline will be accommodated where possible, but students may not be assigned a seat until the week of September 8 or may be placed on a waiting list depending on bus capacity.
