🌟 Staff Shining Star: Dr. Laurie Thompson! 🌟

Learning is relational, and MΓ©tis communities deserve to see their values and traditional knowledge reflected in the classroom. That is the powerful message from Kikino School Principal Dr. Laurie Thompson, who recently earned her Doctor of Education from Athabasca University.

Driven by her belief that being a lifelong learner means being a lifelong teacher, her research focuses on a legacy project to support the next generation of school leaders. She wanted to create real, applicable research that would help, not hinder, future principals during their transition.

Thank you, Dr. Thompson, for your incredible leadership and for showing us what it truly means when we work together to help every student learn and excel! πŸ’™βœ¨
