** UPDATE **
Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t cooperated this week, so we’ve decided to extend Community Clean-Up Week into next week!

We’ll announce a new date for snacks and prize draws at the Lions Club within the next day or two. With any luck, next week will bring some sunshine and warmer temperatures, giving everyone a chance to get outside and help clean up our community.

If you need supplies, garbage bags and gloves are available at the Town Hall. Please let the Town Hall office know where collected garbage needs to be picked up.

Don’t forget to send in your names and photos to be entered for prizes!

Every bag collected makes a difference. Together, we can help keep Bonavista clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone.

🧹Join us for the annual community clean-up 🗑️
Monday, May 25th - Sunday, May 31st

📸✌️Snap a photo (or a selfie) of your clean-up area success and enter to win some sweet prizes!

PS. plz leave the names of those who helped in cleaning your clean-up spot so everyone involved can enter for a chance to win prizes at the end of the week!

MAY 28th. 2026
PUBLIC NOTICE – Watermain Flushing concerning Mockbeggar area and selected vicinity.

The Town wishes to advise residents that annual watermain flushing will begin in the following area between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Flushing will be carried out using fire hydrants and is expected to continue for today.

- during this time, residents may experience:
- temporary reductions in water pressure
- discolored water
- temporary interruptions in water service in some areas

Residents are encouraged, where possible, to avoid washing laundry during flushing hours, as discolored water may stain clothing. If you experience discolored water, running your cold water tap for a short period of time should help clear the lines.
Please note that we do not currently have a schedule for specific areas, as flushing activities will depend on daily operational requirements.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and cooperation.
