We are the "little library that could"! Thanks to lottery funding we now have movable bookcases and are able to create an open space in our little library. This allows us to hold meetings, book clubs and programming activities for the residents of Big Valley. Stop in and check out the schedule....there is lots going on!

We’ve added some new titles for adults, kids, and everyone in between!
Come take a peek — because you never know when you’re going to find “the one”… the book you didn’t know you needed until you picked it up.

September means back to routines, school, and busy days, but don’t forget to make a little time for reading.

Even 10 minutes with a book can be a great way to slow down, learn something new, or simply escape into another world.

Bring the kids in and let them choose something that catches their eye!

Because sometimes the best book is the one they picked. 📖

A little parent tip.. tell them they can stay up later then their bed time if they're reading, its a win for everyone!

🌊📚 What a fantastic Summer Send-Off! 📚🌊

Our Summer Send-Off Party was such a success! We had so much fun celebrating the end of our TD Summer Reading Program – Dive In with games, treats, laughter, and of course, celebrating our amazing readers! 🎉

And WOW… together, our readers tracked OVER 7,500 MINUTES OF READING this summer! 🤯📖👏 That is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so proud of everyone who participated!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our readers and to the parents, grandparents, and families who encouraged the kids to read and brought them out to our library activities throughout the summer.

Congratulations to all of our summer reading participants and to our prize draw winners! 🥳🏆

It has been so wonderful seeing the library full of kids, books, laughter, and excitement this summer. Thank you, Big Valley, for making our Summer Reading Program such a success!

🌟 We’re Open Today! 🌟

After being closed all week while I battled the flu, I’m happy to say I’m feeling a bit better and will be opening the library today from 1–4 PM! 📚

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience, understanding, and kind messages while I’ve been under the weather. It’s very much appreciated! ❤️

Keep an eye out later today while I catch up on our Summer Send Off and Summer Reading Challenge posts!!

We’ll be back to our regular hours next week!!

Sick Day 🤒

Unfortunately, the library will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th, as I’m under the weather and apparently my kiddos decided they wanted to join me!

I’m sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding while we take a much needed day to rest and hopefully get everyone feeling better.

We hate to have to be the ones to say it but… summer is almost over! Come say bye to the Summer Reading Program today from 2-4pm by stopping in for a cupcake and some fun games!! Don’t forget we are also doing the draw today!!
