Sharing from our school community at Berwick & District School:

Tomorrow, September 12th, there is a tree planting event at the school. The school community, with community partners, are looking to make the previously existing courtyard garden into a food forest!

The event is taking place from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the courtyard at Berwick & District School.

A reminder of the traffic advisory for tomorrow, Monday, September 7.

To accommodate the Berwick Gala Days Grand Street Parade (which includes the Children's Parade)

- Orchard Street will be closed from Commercial Street to Brown Street, beginning at 9 AM (local traffic will be permitted)

- Commerical Street will be closed from Orchard Street to Main Street, beginning at 10:50 AM

All roads will re-open to traffic following the final parade entry.

There will be no street parking permitted on Commercial Street at any time prior to the parade's start.

In town for the Berwick Gala Days festival? Not sure where to park?
The Town of Berwick has a public parking lot located behind Town Hall (236 Commercial Street)
Limited street parking on Commercial Street is available Friday to Sunday.
No street parking on Commercial Street is permitted on Monday, September 7th to accomodate the Berwick Gala Days Grand Street Parade.
Street parking is not permitted on Union Street between Commercial Street and Foster Street on Sunday, September 6th to accomodate the 5 Mile Road Race.
There is no street parking permitted on Cottage Street between Commercial Street and Foster Street at any time.

The playground, splash pad, tennis court, basketball court and ball field at Rainforth Park will be closed from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7 during Berwick Gala Days

Rainforth Park is being used to host the annual Berwick Gala Days festival, a community festival organized by the non-profit Berwick Gala Days organization. All proceeds from the festival are distributed to youth organizations serving the Berwick & District area.
