Seed potatoes for sale! 🥔

Good morning folks!!
Another bright & beautiful spring day 🌞

We have many many extra Banana Fingerling seed potatoes- far more than we could possibly plant. Grown without any nasty chemicals or sprays as we are Certified Naturally Grown!

5$ per pound
20$ for 5 pounds
40$ for 10 pounds

Located in Kings county, Nova Scotia. Pickup can be coordinated at our farm- or we can organize a pick up spot, or delivery with consideration of distance & quantity ordered!

Average 6-14 potatoes per pound- really depends on the size of the potato!
Larger ones can be cut into 2 seed potatoes (as long as there’s 3 eyes per potato- the eyes are the little sprouts coming from the potato shown below!)

Banana Fingerlings are late season potatoes, high yielding, have a yellow skin & flesh, and buttery flavour, creamy texture! Great for potato salad, mashed potatoes, roasting. We loved them!

Attention: We do not have experience in storing any form of seed! We harvested these in the fall for eating throughout the winter and the ones leftover have sprouted- so this is what we are using for our own planting this spring, and we just have plenty of leftovers that I wanted to offer for sale so they do not go to waste!!
We are not a certified seller of seed. Just for transparency sake 🙂

Hello folks! Long time no chat!

✨ I am looking for your input ✨
Last year was Zack and I’s first year selling our certified naturally grown produce to our community- we had a lot of learning bumps along the journey and so our growing season was a fairly short one! We are in the process of planning for the 2024 season, and are making plans to extend our growing season.
We are looking for input from the community- feel free to comment on this post, send a message, or send an email. Any and all advice/feedback/comment is greatly appreciated!!!

What are your favourite early season fruits and veggies to buy from your local farmers?

What are your favourite fall fruits & veggies to buy from your local farmers?

Is there any type of vegetable or variety of vegetable that you have trouble finding locally that you’d love more farmers to grow?

If you bought any veggies from us this past summer- was there any favorites that you hope we continue to grow? Was there any that you were disappointed in?

Absolutely any feedback or answers, etc are so very appreciated. We want to be providing what our community loves and enjoys to eat! ☺️

Thank you all for your time in reading this, and for any & all feedback!
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season in whatever way you choose to celebrate (or not celebrate!). Sending wishes of warmth, rest & laughter! 💚🌲

Hello everyone!! Does anyone happen to know where we could find straw that has been grown organically, or spray free? Square or round bales are fine! Thank you!

We’re back at the Kingston Farmers Market NS today! 3-7pm, on the grounds of the Aurora Inn in Kingston.
We are all stocked up with lots of fresh veggies:
- bunched carrots
- bunched beets
- fresh salsa kits
- cherry tomatoes
- field slicing tomatoes
- bell peppers
- Hungarian hot wax peppers
- new banana fingerling potatoes
- fresh onions
- field slicing cucumbers
- purple sweet Basil

Come stop by! 🙂 Unfortunately this will be Zack and I’s last market of the season. Due to the excessive wet weather, the cooler temperatures, last weeks storm, and just coming to the end of a lot of our crops lives, the quality of our crops have really decreased, so we are having to call the season 😢
We will be taking what’s left of our harvest and doing some canning and putting things away for ourselves for the winter! We’re sad that this will be our last market of the season- we have absolutely loved the Kingston market & all of the lovely people we have met over the last month! 🙂 Thank you all so much for your support!!

Hi all!!
Does anyone know where I can find organic softneck seed garlic? I am looking for western rose specifically, but open to other varieties! I see the garlic patch in Gaspereau is sold out of this variety.
Thank you! ☺️

Booooo. Darn rain & thunderstorms cramping the market today! 😔 No Kingston farmers market today, but you can expect to see us there next week!
At least this gives us an extra day to prep for the storm this weekend, as if Nova Scotia needs more rain haaaaa.. 🫠

I’m sure it goes without saying, but due to hurricane Lee making landfall this weekend, we will not be in Cambridge! I don’t think our little tent would stand a chance! 😆
Stay safe this weekend folks!
