The City of Belleville is located on the north shore of the picturesque Bay of Quinte. Ideally situated between Toronto and Montreal, and less than one hour from the U.S. border, Belleville truly is at the center of it all. Approximately 55,000 people make Belleville their home and over 200,000 live within 30 minutes of the City. Belleville’s bustling city streets contrast the rolling rural landsc

apes that surround them.

“Canada’s main street” and most travelled highway, Highway 401, bisects Belleville, placing Belleville just a short drive east of Toronto, west of Montreal and south-west of Ottawa. The community is also serviced by VIA Rail and bus service, connecting it to other major communities. Airport services are also provided at CFB Trenton (15 kilometers
from Belleville) which has a 10,000 foot paved runway capable of handling the world's largest aircraft.

While hydrant flushing is underway in your area, you may notice reddish-coloured water. When this happens, run your cold water tap until the water runs clear. It's best to avoid doing laundry while the program is underway in your area.
