On July 9th & 10th, experience Naval life in the late 18th and early 19th century at the beautiful United Empire Loyalist Heritage Centre & Park in Adolphustown.

More than 100 reenactors and a variety of period vessels will be on hand, creating an authentic naval encampment. See rope-making and other demonstrations and be schooled like a sailor. Also watch a re-enactment of the American attack on Howell’s Windmill in 1812.

This event is free to the public. Find out more... https://naturallyla.ca/events/school-of-the-sailor-1790-1815/

About Us

Our branch’s slogan is: “A virtual place where real people meet!” and we were developed out of a desire for choice in how and when members and friends could experience UELAC. We bridge the gap that sometimes prevents members from participating and sharing their contributions through conventional branch memberships, but yet seek to connect in meaningful ways – just virtually. In fact, this choice means most of our members belong to both our virtual branch and traditional branches, which we encourage! More than simply a ‘British Canadian thing’, Loyalist history includes all walks of life along with undeniably diverse national and ethnic backgrounds.

Through the use of online technologies, we offer a variety of services aimed at assisting, informing, educating and entertaining members on the shared interest of acknowledging, celebrating and perpetuating the sacrifices of our Loyalist ancestors.
