Big news for our aviation sector!

De Havilland Canada broke ground on a major aircraft manufacturing hub in Wheatland County called De Havilland Field, marking the largest private investment for aviation in Alberta’s history.

This is another major step forward in this government's efforts to make Alberta an aviation and aerospace hub and shows that Alberta is the best place in the country to build and invest.

Thank you Premier Danielle Smith and Brandon Lunty MLA Leduc-Beaumont for joining us at the Rig Hand Distillery on Tuesday night for a Tour & Tasting! The event was so much fun and the silent auction was a success. We appreciated hearing from the Premier and having an opportunity to ask questions in an intimate atmosphere with likeminded constituents.

We can’t wait for our next event!

Alberta’s classrooms are growing fast, and parents and teachers have made it clear that class size matters.

That’s why our government is investing $200 million through a new Class Size Reduction Grant to help hire more than 1,400 additional teachers and reduce pressure in K-to-Grade 9 classrooms across the province. This builds on the largest operational investment in education in Alberta’s history, alongside 161 new school projects underway across our province.

We’re taking practical action to support students, teachers, and families by improving learning conditions and ensuring Alberta’s education system keeps pace with our growing population.

🎒 BIG SCHOOL NEWS: Our government is hiring over 1,400 new teachers and reducing class sizes across Alberta.

Premier Danielle Smith and Minister Demetrios Nicolaides announced this new support for Alberta classrooms today.

With this new investment, we are: 👇

📈 Keeping pace with the 90,000 new students who have joined our schools over the past four years

📚 Ensuring smaller, more manageable classes so every child gets the attention they need to succeed

🎯 Directing resources straight to the fast-growing schools and communities that need them the most

Our UCP government is getting the job done by supporting strong classrooms and setting our students up for a great future.
