Good day everyone, as you've seen this week's scheduled hot lunch (May 22nd) was cancelled - the email information was correct and we were told on Monday that Sugar and Spice has closed permanently and they are unable to fulfill our lunch order this week.

With that, we have reached out to Healthy Hunger directly to have them confirm that all orders for Sugar and Spice are to be refunded to families the way they purchased and those refunds should be within the next 7 to 10 business days. Please note that refunds are not typically possible and that Healthy Hunger issues credits for this type of situation but we have asked them to make an exception this one time. Unfortunately, the timeline is too tight to organize another Hot Lunch this week.

As a Hot Lunch team, we work hard to try to support local restaurants and we are saddened by the news from Sugar and Spice with regards to them closing and wish them the best in their future endeavors. As for the next 2 scheduled hot lunches, we have emailed those restaurants directly to confirm that we are still on schedule for them - Opa (May 29th) and IHop (June 5th) which we are. We are planning to have an option for lunch during our Family Picnic so please stay tuned for those details.

Please send a snack and lunch with your child on Friday, May 22nd.
