Bay Roberts Summer Camp starts MONDAY JUNE 29!!🌞
Still lots of space in Youth camp, Junior camp is filling up fast!

Each week there will be limited spaces released for those who want to register last minute or week to week.

🏊‍♀️ Private Swim Lessons at Bay Roberts Pool! 🏊‍♂️

Bay Roberts Pool is opening for private swim lessons from June 22–26, with lesson times available between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM each day.

🔴One-on-one instruction
🔴 Personalized lessons tailored to individual needs
🔴 Great for building confidence, improving skills, or preparing for upcoming swim programs

‼️Registration opens: Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 PM
‼️Registration closes: Friday, June 19 at 8:00 AM

Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

📢 Please Note:
At this time, the pool is ONLY open for private lessons between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Group swimming lessons are NOT currently being offered.

The full summer schedule that was previously posted, including both group lessons and private lessons throughout the day, will take effect beginning June 29.

🏊‍♂️ Bay Roberts Swimming Pool – Summer 2026 Schedule Information 🏊‍♀️

*this schedule will go into effect starting June 29th, 2026*

🔴 Swimming lessons will begin on June 29, 2026. A Showpass registration link and group set schedule will be posted during the following week for lesson sign up info.

🔴 Family Swims are available for children and youth who are accompanied by an adult who is 16 years of age or older.

🔴 General Swims are open to the public and welcome swimmers of all ages.

🔴 Stroke Improvement sessions are designed for swimmers who would like to improve their swimming skills and techniques with guidance from our lifeguards.

🔴 Adult Lane Swim is available for individuals 18 years of age and older who wish to swim for fitness or recreation.

🔴 Parent & Tot sessions provide an opportunity for parents or guardians to introduce young children to the water in a fun and comfortable environment.

🔴 NEW for 2026 – Water Aerobics! Join us every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM for a low-impact, full-body workout in the water. Each session includes:
• 45 minutes of instructor-led water aerobics
• 5 minutes for cool-down and optional recreational swimming

🔴 Pool Rentals are available for birthday parties and special events every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

🏊‍♀️ Swim Instructor Course – Bay Roberts Pool

Ready to start teaching swimming and make a difference in your community? Join our upcoming Swim Instructor Course!

🗓️ Dates: June 7, 13, and 14, 2026
🕣 Time: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
📍 Location: June 7th at the blue building in Bay Roberts (across from the ball hockey courts)
June 13th and 14th at the Bay Roberts Swimming Pool

The Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor course prepares candidates to teach and evaluate the skills and strokes found in the Swim for Life program. Participants will learn effective teaching methods, lesson planning skills, and stroke correction techniques.

Be sure to complete the registration form using the link provided to reserve your spot.

The Harbour Hop Hooked on Local may be sold out, but the weekend is far from over!

Join us on Saturday May 23rd for our Land & Sea Evening.
Start with a reception of unlimited mussels and spirit tastings, then settle into a three-course menu crafted by top local chefs. The night unfolds alongside live performances from The Masterless Men, Julia Dawson & Bruce Smith, and Liam Maher.

Or start your Saturday morning on the Shoreline Heritage Trail with a guided coastal hike with winding paths and panoramic views. Toutons, Tomcods, and Tunes includes a stop along the trail for hot tea and fresh toutons, with a proper finish at the Red Shed with a taste of local cod and live music.

Sunday May 24th is the annual NL Fishcake Championship -
a completely different pace. Sample 10 unique takes on a Newfoundland classic and cast your vote for the Championship Belt, with Blind Drunk keeping the room lively throughout.
