Kempenfelt Bay Trail, a unique natural haven, is in immediate danger: the City of Barrie authorities want to create a multi-use sports field on its south-shore parkland.

My friends and I, along with many other concerned citizens, have written letters to our online newspaper, Barrie Today to convince the city planners to leave this natural haven intact.
We strongly believe that turning it into a fenced playground with artificial grass would alter the landscape and diminish the quality of life for many citizens who rely on this space for relaxation and recreation.

The video in this post captures the unique and breathtaking beauty of the endangered part of the Kempenfelt Bay trail, a natural haven that we must strive to preserve.

Recently we han unusually warm February weather for a shirt while. In a few days all the snow gone! It was nice and warm to walk, but I am afraid another invasion of Jipsy Moth this summer. Unless really strong frosts come later.
