Since making his label debut in 2013, Hicks has carved out a lane as one of Canadian country music’s most reliable and enduring voices, delivering songs that hit just as hard onstage as they do on the radio.

Across albums including Throw Down, 5:01, 5:01+, Shake These Walls, New Tattoo, Wreck This, Campfire Troubadour, Talk To Time, and most recently Going Somewhere, Hicks has built an acclaimed catalogue of fan favourites and live staples. The five-time JUNO Award nominee and CCMA Award winner has earned a DOUBLE PLATINUM single, five PLATINUM singles, ten GOLD singles, one GOLD-certified album, more than 220 million collective streams, and eighteen Top 10 hits at Canadian country radio, including the #1 singles “No Truck Song” and “What A Song Should Do.”

Recognized for his impact across streaming, sales, and audience growth, Hicks became the first artist to earn the Nielsen Compass Award three consecutive years.

Fresh off the release of his sixth studio album Going Somewhere, which included the Top 10 Canadian country radio hit ( #6) “Going Somewhere,” Hicks is now turning the page with current single “The Pilot,” impacting country radio now. Following the Local Opener Showcase, Mitch Zorn will bring his own brand of Canadian country music to Meridian Place as the featured opening artist for Tim Hicks.

Zorn continues a season-long Troubadour tradition of pairing nationally established headliners with standout Canadian supporting artists, creating a full evening of live music while giving audiences another artist to discover along the way.

Hailing from Nakusp, BC, Mitch Zorn brings over a decade of performance experience across North America. After four years in Texas and Tennessee, Mitch returned to Canada with a bold, authentic sound rooted in modern country storytelling. His fan-favorite track “Home” earned national airplay and featured artist status on major country radio, establishing him as a rising force in the format. In June 2025, Mitch released his debut EP through 604 Records, with the pop-punk-country track “Stray Bullet” emerging as the standout, racking up over 1.6 million streams and helping the EP surpass 5.6 million streams overall.

A dynamic live performer, Mitch spent the past year on the road supporting major Canadian acts, most notably Jess Moskaluke (16 date - Life For Me Tour), James Barker Band (Buckle Up Tour) with additional support dates for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Farewell Tour Steven Lee Olsen, Tyler Braden, and Dillon James. He was a wild card finalist in the 2023 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, a semi-finalist in the 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country competition, and has earned five BCCMA nominations, including one win. With a confirmed performance at Boots & Hearts Music Festival 2026 and many more live appearances ahead, Mitch Zorn is poised to continue building momentum and make a lasting mark on Canada’s country music scene.
