We will be setting up the BBQ around 2pm and staying till 7ish. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Come and join our community on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Millennium Park in Bancroft for an afternoon and evening dedicated to hope, remembrance, and celebration.

Relay in the Park is more than just an event. It is an opportunity for our community to come together in support of friends, family members, neighbours, and loved ones whose lives have been touched by cancer. Every dollar raised stays within our community, helping provide support, resources, and hope to those who need it most.

Whether you are a local resident, seasonal cottager, former resident returning home, or visitor exploring North Hastings, everyone is welcome.

Beyond supporting an important cause, Relay in the Park offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, spend time with neighbours, and meet new people. In a busy world, community gatherings like this remind us of the importance of coming together, sharing stories, offering support, and celebrating the connections that make our community so special.

Come celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, support those currently facing cancer, and help create a brighter future for families throughout our community.

It's going to be a busy Summer

The last week in May we Participated in three different events. And after the dust has settled here is the outcome.
On May 26th we held a BBQ as part of a walk a Mile in her shoes Event held by Maggie's. Today we Donated $300 to Maggie's
On May 30th we ran the BBQ at the Community BBQ event a fundraiser for Hospice.
Today we handed over a cheque for $1368. The profits from that BBQ.
On May 31st we held our annual walk for dog guides. I don't have a final total for that. The Last time I talked to Lion Laverne it was around $2700.
Looking forward to seeing what we can do over the summer.

Another beautiful weekend and a busy one for the Bancroft Lions. On Saturday We ran the BBQ for the Hospice Community BBQ Fundraiser in Millennium Park. We'll attended and looked like everyone was having fun. And if that wasn't enough Sunday we where out again this time in Riverside Park for our annual dog walk for guide dogs and BBQ. Another excellent day.

Our book sale committee took a box of kids books to the York River Public School yesterday for them to use in their green book fair they are having in June. The school want to make sure every student goes home with a new to them book for the summer holidays. What a great way to keep our kids interested in reading.

We Had a busy day today with our first booksale for 2026. And our spring toll road going on at the same time. Everyone had a good time. You could hear friendly chatter and laughs all around. When your having fun it doesn't feel like work.
