The Township of Carlow/Mayo is inviting qualified Fire Departments to submit proposals to provide fire suppression services within the Township.

Proposals must include applicable fees, demonstrate qualified personnel, operational equipment, training, and insurance coverage.

Deadline: July 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.

🔥 Wildfire Activity Update – Township of Carlow/Mayo 🔥
Over the weekend, several wildland fires occurred within and near our community, as well as in a neighboring municipalites
Thanks to the quick actions of local residents and response from the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), all fires within Carlow/Mayo were safely extinguished. We are grateful to report that there were no injuries or structural losses.
At this time, there is no fire ban in effect within Carlow/Mayo.
That said, conditions can change quickly, and we ask everyone to stay mindful and use caution with any outdoor burning.
If you encounter a downed hydro line:
⚠️ Stay well back
⚠️ Do not touch the line or anything in contact with it
⚠️ Report it immediately to Hydro One and call 911.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all firefighters, Hydro One crews, and community members who stepped in to help. Your quick action and care for one another truly make a difference. Thank you for looking out for each other and helping keep our community safe.
We will continue to monitor conditions and keep you informed.
