You may be eligible for annual incentive funding per acre for these areas!!
You can continue to farm them whenever you wish - the only requirement is they cannot be drained or filled.
Incentives amounts depend on local land assessment values.
Reach out to CAWD staff to learn more and see if your land qualifies!! 🌾

Site suitability testing for the 2026 Rain Garden Season will begin this September. If you applied, and have been chosen as eligible, please check your messages regularly as a CAWD employee may be contacting you to confirm dates and times for the site visit.

Meet Emma! Emma has been the summer student at Central Assiniboine Watershed District for the past 3 years! She enjoys animals and hiking. Emma has been busy doing project checks, helping survey dams and erosion sites, helping with rain garden testing and lots more. Emma will be returning to University in the fall, and we wish her the best of luck with her studies!
