Chief Lerat swears in our newest member, Constable Gordie Ross!
Constable Ross, 37 years old, Cree speaker, hailing from the Cross Lake First Nation, Manitoba brings 6 years of First Nation Policing experience to our team. He has served in the Manitoba First Nations Police Service and the Lac Seul Police Service in Ontario. In his spare time, Cst Ross is an awesome guitar player and singer (he says he sings a deadly ‘Tribal Trails’) 😄

File Hills First Nations Police Service is seeking both experienced and new officers. Both who are dedicated, and in it for the long-term to join our growing team. Applicants must meet Saskatchewan policing requirements, including successful completion of the Saskatchewan Police College or equivalent recognized training, maintaining fitness standards, and a strong commitment to serving Indigenous communities. Applicants will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance through FHFNPS.

* Experienced Officers should have a minimum of two years full-time Canadian police service employment or equivalent.
* Police recruit training must be from a recognized Saskatchewan approved institution.
