📢 Community Notice: Hydro One Work in Our Community

Hydro One is investing in our community by installing new technology as one of the first steps in preparing for growing electricity needs in the Wahta Mohawks First Nation area. This work is intended to help reduce outages and restore power more quickly to homes, businesses, and the wider community.

As part of this project, Hydro One will be completing work on the Wahta Mohawks First Nation lands. There will be no cost for the Band or customers for these upgrades.

This work will include the replacement of all electricity meters and will begin the week of June 8th.

Work in Our Community
Hydro One customers and communities have expressed a shared need for a more sustainable and resilient system. As part of this work, Hydro One technicians will review the current conditions of poles (and if needed, an adjacent pole). This work may include taking detailed pictures of the poles and the equipment mounted on them. Note that this process will not include any construction work and will not disrupt the power supply in your community.

Current Employment Opportunities
Hydro One also has the following training and employment opportunities related to the above-mentioned work. These positions include Residential Hydro Meter Installer, Commercial Meter Installer, and Subforeperson.
