Pretty cool to meet Alice Krige, best known as the Borg Queen, and more than 40 members of the cast and crew filming Second Voice at Aurora Town Square! I even got to watch one of the scenes being filmed. Keep an eye out for the movie in 2027!

York Regional Police is launching a new education and enforcement campaign focused on e-scooters, e-motorcycles and other electric mobility devices across York Region.

YRP officers will be out educating residents and conducting targeted enforcement, with an emphasis on education before enforcement, except when particularly dangerous behaviour is involved. Importantly, YRP will also be engaging directly with parents as part of this campaign.

As I have said previously, we are seeing more of these devices on our roads, sidewalks and trails, particularly among young people, and safety must come first.

With students heading back to school, this is an important reminder for everyone—especially parents and young riders—to understand what you are riding and where you are legally permitted to ride it.
