Mark Chase (1954 - 2022): This lending library is take-a-book, leave-a-book, to honour his memory and the love of reading he bestowed. This lending library will be tended to. It will be kept stocked with fresh titles (donations will always be welcomed), and fun surprises throughout the year (blind date with a book, treat bags, bookmarks, etc)!

hello dear community 👋🏽 with the first weekend of Spring in full swing, we celebrated by doing an extreme refresh of titles! we hope to post more in 2024, but just because we don’t post, doesn’t mean the box is empty! 🤗🤍📚 and since more than a few people have asked, yes we are still grateful for donations!!

Just in time for his grandson’s 3️⃣rd birthday, The Mark Chase Lending Library is officially open!✨ Come find us on Hayes street to celebrate! 🥳 take a book, leave a book, & love a book 📖🤍

Thank you to everyone who came together to make this possible 🙏🏽🤍 from the countless donations, to the beautiful box by The ArThe Artsy Belugal the helpful tips shared by the Mary street book box (it won’t let me tag the page rn, but I will when I can!). My dad would be so happy 🥰🤍🪽
