⚠️ Pool Opening Delay Update ⚠️
Earlier this week, Armstrong Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation notified the public of a critical equipment repair which would delay the opening of the pool. Updated estimates on part delivery required to complete the project now indicate that the pool may need to remain closed to the public until at least Friday, May 29. πŸ› οΈπŸš›
We apologize for this further delay and assure the public that, as soon as the equipment is received, staff will work to get things open as quickly and safely as possible.
Unfortunately, the parts required for the main pool pump are not manufactured or readily available in Canada. Sourcing and importing specialized mechanical components from the United States can present unexpected transportation and supply-chain challenges, particularly for older equipment systems.
While the facility remains closed to the public, the pool may still be used for scheduled programming, operational testing, and staff training. πŸŠβ€β™€οΈβœ…
Any swimming lesson or program participants impacted by these changes will be contacted directly with additional information. πŸ“žπŸ“§
Thank you for your patience and understanding as staff continue working toward a safe and successful opening. πŸ’¦
