This year marks the 46th anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope, and we are proud to continue his legacy of courage, determination, and hope. 💙

Our school will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Thursday, September 24th. Together, we’ll run, walk, and move to honour Terry’s dream of a world without cancer.

Families are encouraged to support and cheer on our students as they take part in this meaningful tradition. Donations can be made online to support cancer research.

Happy Back to School!

Student verification forms are being sent home with students in the coming days.
If you have a new phone number or address, please let us know. It is very important that the school has the most up to date information.

Attached in the Welcome Back package you will also see a new 2026-2027 school calendar.

We hope to see as many students as possible as we return to school next week following the Labour Day weekend.

Good morning,

Today, Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, the Whitesand/Armstrong bus will be making its regular morning run to school, but will not be able to bring students home at the end of the day.

Please make arrangements to have your child(ren) picked up between 2:50-3:00.

We hope to see as many students as possible at school today.

A huge thank you to Josh and Alex for taking the time to visit Armstrong Public School this week!

Josh, from PYOW (Provincial Youth Outreach Worker), spoke with our junior students about the supports and services available to youth in Thunder Bay. Alex, from Dilico, also spent time with our students discussing children’s mental health counselling and the supports available to young people.

These conversations are so important, and our students were engaged from start to finish.

The fun didn’t stop there! Josh and Alex also joined us on the court for some basketball, bringing great energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of smiles. Our students had an amazing time, and it is always a pleasure to have guests who connect with our students on such a meaningful level.

Thank you, Josh and Alex, for everything you do to support youth in our communities. We look forward to having you back again soon!
