Two new murals have been installed at the hospital by local artists Artist Andy Pump/ and Andrew Murray.

You are also welcome to participate in the Antigonish Culture Alive AGM prior to the mural celebration!

We are delighted to introduce our 2025 ASAP Artist in Residence, Cori MacInnis! She has been sharing her process with us over on Instagram and it is a beautiful thing to watch unfold.

Cori MacInnis is the 2025 recipient for the ASAP Artist Residency Program.This residency is hosted by the All-of-Us Society for Art Presentation (ASAP) Artist-Run Centre, with generous funding from the Town of Antigonish and the Municipality and County of Antigonish.

Her project, "Breathe" is a series of mother and child portraits for the Highland Community Midwives Clinic here in Antigonish. "My hope is that the images might calm and inspire the families coming and going through the doors of the clinic. They all have a different story, but are connected by the thread of parenthood. The word breathe is connected to giving birth, deep breaths, tears, laughter and life."
Cori is a watercolour portrait and nature artist, watercolour instructor, hospital art care facilitator and can often be found painting at her kitchen table in the early mornings before the kids wake up.
