REMINDER: No domestic brush burning or campfires are permitted between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm during wildfire risk season. The burn-safe map is always red during these hours.

From our family at 4Valleys, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and departments of our fallen brothers.

This week, Nova Scotia’s fire service suffered heartbreaking loss with the passing of members of our firefighting family, including one firefighter in the line of duty.

The impact of this loss reaches far beyond a single department — it is felt in every fire hall, every community, and by every firefighter who understands the bond of family.

In times like these, the fire service comes together not just as departments, but as one family. Please keep all affected departments and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

Some members of the 4 Valleys Fire Department, along with members of our community, took part in “Slam the Junk” today. Together, we cleaned up litter along the highways to help make our community beautiful again.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, as well as to those who cleaned up in front of their homes and left bags for pickup. Your efforts are truly appreciated and make a meaningful difference.
