Homelessness can happen to anyone.

There are many different pathways that can lead to homelessness, and often, it’s the result of circumstances that are outside a person’s control. No one grows up wanting to be homeless, but a job loss, relationship breakdown, rising costs, eviction, illness, or another unexpected crisis can change someone’s life in the blink of an eye.

Take a moment to watch and learn about some of the common pathways to homelessness. Understanding the causes is an important step toward reducing stigma and building a more compassionate community. 💙

💙 Thank You, Antigonish! 💙

Our hearts are so full after Thursday night's Housing Harmony fundraiser.
Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we raised over $1,000 in support of A Roof Over Your Head! Every dollar will help us continue supporting individuals and families in our community as they work toward obtaining and maintaining safe, stable housing.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible musicians, who generously donated their time and talent to make the evening so special. We are also deeply grateful to Richie for bringing his energy, humor, and heart as our emcee, and to Candid Brewing for welcoming us into such a wonderful space.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to Brent Collins, who went above and beyond by taking the lead on our sound setup and running sound throughout the evening. It was an enormous behind-the-scenes contribution that made the event run so smoothly, and we truly couldn't have done it without him.

One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was seeing so many members of our community come together in one room. We were especially touched to see so many colleagues from local organizations and community services in attendance. We are incredibly fortunate to work alongside such compassionate people every day, and it was heartwarming to see our community supporting one another. We believe that when organizations lift each other up, our entire community benefits.

To everyone who attended, purchased 50/50 tickets, made a donation, shared our event, volunteered, or simply spent the evening with us—thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and belief in our mission mean more than words can express.

Thursday night was a beautiful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together. Thank you for helping make it such a memorable evening, and for standing with us in the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. ❤️
