Supporting Canadian manufacturing, protecting local jobs, and advocating for practical policy changes - today Mayors across Simcoe County came together in support of Mayor Richard Norcross’ Canada North Vehicles initiative.

Mayor Norcross invited me to join him in signing the directive. I sat down excited to sign, then realized he hadn’t signed — so I turned to him - mike on - and asked “are you sure you don’t want to sign fist”.

The laughter that followed captured exactly what today was about: collaboration, partnership, determination and leaders working together for our communities.

We are stronger together

We are excited to announce that I am seeking re-election as Mayor of Springwater Township.

This photo is my “why”, and our tradition. It’s the fourth time our family has filed for election, but the first my daughters have been old enough to really have input and an understanding of what it takes.

It’s been an incredible privilege to serve Springwater for the past 12 years, we’re excited to see what’s next!

Thank you for your support, and for being part of this journey.

Heads up, ! Street sweeping operations will kick off tomorrow in the Elmvale and Midhurst communities. During this time, we ask the community to minimize road parking. Crews will be operating from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. The street sweeping operations begin as soon as weather conditions permit. Inclement weather may result in delays, with sweeping resuming once conditions improve. Further information and a street sweeping schedule will be communicated on our website and social media channels, once available.
