District 6…a bit more to understand about me:
What does “in camera” mean?
I will make sure you all become knowledgeable as to why and when this tool is used for council business.
How will you be transparent?
I will make sure you are well aware of day to day operations of council and other business related to you and your district/county in a timely manner.
What role does a councillor have?
I will (listen, answer your calls, reply to your emails, meet in person, hold meetings regularly to rebuild your trust in this system), The people of District 6 deserve an active councillor who will respect and faithfully serve you and be a councillor you can depend on because what I say, I will do for YOU!
Will my councillor get back to me and follow up regarding my inquiries or concerns?
I will reply timely and ensure you feel heard and informed of any outcomes that affect District 6, as well as, business at the county level that you have a stake in.
How do I get on the council agenda to speak?
I will show and explain how you do this so your voice is heard and respected.
If I want an answer to a question that doesn’t seem to be shared with us, how might I do this?
I will try to answer the question to the best of my ability, if I can’t, I’ll find out the answer and get back to you or, I will explain the process of submitting a FOIPOP and how to write the question to ensure you get an answer that is clear and easy to understand.
How will we be informed over the next 4 years (term) by you as our councillor?
I will hold local meetings in District 6 so we can come together and hear updates, share ideas, set goals, make plans, ask questions and share concerns. I will provide a district mailout each month, you will be able to email, call or text me or ask for an in-person visit. Every and all modes of communication will be exercised including attending county and committee meetings.
What experience do you have that makes you a great person for being the Councillor for District 6?
- an organizer
- a believe in the family unit
- a teacher for 34 years P-12, now retired (several disciplines)
- strong belief in being inclusive
- a business developer & owner
(recreation, housing, music, fitness, and health and wellness
- well read, listener, writer, public speaker, goal-setter, doer of hard work, persuader and stays focused
- a community volunteer 10 years
- a strong networker
- a writer of business plans and other literature
- a respect for diversity and the needs including all aspects of accessibility
- visionary in past initiatives so moving forward can benefit from this
- well travelled and understand culture and how that benefits our communities
- secretary, President to the Annapolis Local of the NSTU
- understands Robert’s Rules

- knows respect for all people
Why are you offering to be the councillor for District 6?
Because YOU all matter to me in District 6 and we can work well together for the greater good!
