🚨 ATTENTION AMHERSTBURG RESIDENTS 🚨

It has come to my attention that construction on Front Road is once again causing traffic rerouting and delays.

While Front Road is a County road, the Town of Amherstburg has reached out to the County to request the installation of a temporary 4-way stop at County Road 10 (CR10) and 2nd Concession to help manage traffic and improve safety during the construction.

The Town is also taking steps to create a temporary 4-way stop at 2nd Concession and North Sideroad.

We understand that these ongoing construction projects and reroutes can be frustrating and disruptive. We are working with the County to help improve traffic flow and safety for Amherstburg residents while this work is underway.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please drive carefully, allow extra time for your commute, and watch for temporary traffic controls and signage. 🚧

I apologize for not posting this update sooner — it was just brought to my attention.

The splash pad at Toddy Jones Park is not closed for the season. Unfortunately, the recent storm caused some issues with the system, and the water is currently running continuously.

The Town is aware of the issue and is working to get it fixed.

Today officially marks 10 years of marriage! ❤️

We celebrated our wedding day by getting married at Fort Malden, having our reception at Lord Amherst, and treating everyone to ice cream at Waterfront Ice Cream. Every year since, we’ve recreated those special moments by spending the day around town visiting our favourite places and enjoying those same treats. 🍦

This year looks a little different. With my upcoming surgery, we decided to take one last big family adventure through the great outdoors of Ontario and Quebec—a final hurrah before I’m on crutches and the kids are back to school! 🏕️❤️

I know so many are still recovering from the storm. A huge shoutout to my dad, who has been driving around fixing my signs and helping family and friends with roof repairs and storm damage. ❤️

Wishing everyone a wonderful last weekend of summer before we’re back to routines. For now, we’ll soak up these last few days of summer and make some more memories. ☀️

Happy 10 years to us! Here’s to many more adventures together.

🚧 Reminder that Concession 4 North will be temporarily closed on Monday, August 31 between Middle Sideroad and North Sideroad to allow for culvert replacement.

Please follow posted detour signage and use an alternate route where possible.

Residents will continue to have driveway access through local road access from North Sideroad.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this work is completed.
