This year in honour of our 70th year of service Chief Matt Mundle, Jr Firefighter Liam Wood and Future Firefighter Ella Wood participated in the Pugwash HarbourFest 5k Salt Dash. 🏃🏃‍♂️🧑‍🚒👨‍🚒

While no land speed records were broken, it was still a great way to get out and be challenged.

Many volunteer departments in Nova Scotia are made up of multiple family generations and Shinimicas is no different.

** Those with a keen eye may note that Ella is wearing a pre-fire (2020) version of our gear.

On Friday afternoon we were joined by Village of Pugwash Community Events recreation staff and our friends from Pugwash Fire Department to put on an obstacle course for those both young and young at heart. It was warm, but it was a lot of fun!

Thank you to Pugwash Recreation for the invitation and thank you to Pugwash Fire for having their Senior Public Relations Officer bring out the new Engine 212 for everyone to see! 🚒
